WHAT IS COMPOUNDING?
Compounding (pharmaceutical compounding and compounding pharmacies) is the art of making custom made prescription medications specifically for an individual patient. Taking various basic ingredients, the pharmacist puts together, the medication in the correct proportions, and formulas (i.e. pills, various types of creams, or gels, sublingual tablets (triturates or troches – the treatment of choice resulting in better absorption, then capsules and gels), suppositories or injectables, etc.) prescribed by the physician. This may be done for medically necessary reasons, such as to change the form of the medication from a solid to a liquid, to avoid a non-essential ingredient that the patient is allergic to, or to obtain the exact needed formulation. It may also be done for voluntary reasons, such as adding favourite flavours to a medication.

BIO-IDENTICAL HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY (BHRT)
Every living creature has a different DNA configuration, that is why “one size fits all” does not work in the realm of hormones. When prescribed by knowledgeable physicians, and after the appropriate lab work has been completed with the patient, custom compounded Bio-Identical Hormones can help patients restore the balanced hormone levels they had enjoyed in their prime. “Feel Like Yourself Again”
