MENOPAUSE  (FEMALE) AND ANDROPAUSE (MALE)

MENOPAUSE
Peri-menopause symptoms can start as early as in your 30's. Traditionally, this can include any and all of the following symptoms, and the symptoms can vary in intensity.  Regardless of the age (adolescent or adult, peri- or menopausal), the presence of a disproportionate amount of Estrogen to Progesterone is a common underlying cause for many of the symptoms and illnesses unique to the female hormonal chemistry.
This is referred to as Estrogen Dominance.

Women Are Complex - Hormonal health in a female is more complex than that of a male's.  This is not to say that it cannot be improved upon, just that it takes a little more thought and caring. The standard approach to diagnosing hormonal imbalance is based upon measuring reference hormones that do not tell us the actual amounts of Estrogen, Progesterone, DHEA, or Testosterone.

Testing approaches every female directly by measuring each hormone to determine if it is low, normal, or elevated. Based upon these results your physician creates a custom hormone program for you that is built to address your lifestyle and your living goals.

Should We Be Without Hormones By Sangeeta Pati, MD

ANDROPAUSE

Andropause is a complex hormonal deficiency or insuficiency state that tends to happen slowly in all males starting at around 40 years of age. The loss of Testosterone and associated hormones affects our psychology, physiology, and physical functioning. Frequently, psychological changes are passed off as being "Mid-Life Crisis", "Depression", or a  "Mood Disorder", while the physiological changes are associated with "just getting old", and finally the physical changes as "slowing in body metabolism along with poor eating habits".  Symptoms of testosterone deficiency are often attributed to other problems, denied by the patient, and unrecognized by healthcare professionals.  All these might be right but without checking for hormone deficiency, how do you know for sure?
Ask your healthcare provider about TRUBALANCE HEALTHCARE which will help you determine what hormones are deficient. Numerous changes are associated with an age-related decline in the hormone testosterone, which is classified as an androgen. Some men may go through a rather sudden change in testosterone levels that might correlate with the hormonal changes women experience at menopause. However, most men have a slower and more subtle hormonal decline and develop symptoms over a period of time.  When hormones are replaced or restored back to physiologic levels considered normal for younger males, men may experience a dramatic reversal of many of these changes.
